From October 13th to 20th, Yantai Research Institute greeted a delegation from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, a group composed of 13 representatives, in their one-week research camp to study and communicate in Yantai.

Led by professors of our institute, the delegation visited key enterprises in Yantai to learn the development status and corporate culture regarding marine engineering equipment.

We prepared a tea party, during which our students introduced traditional Chinese tea culture and students from both countries discussed their customs relating foods and festivals, for these Malaysian and some our own students in our library, along with speeches delivered by directors of our institute. They were all mesmerized in tea aroma at this heartwarming cross-cultural activity.

Professors from in our institute even delivered lectures to the Malaysian delegation in English and discussed on related expertise, so that the delegation could further grasp our research orientation, advantageous majors and corresponding research teams.

They even had a tour to Yantai Municipal Museum and other exhibition halls, having a glimpse of cultural heritage, industrial foundation and panoramic scenery of Yantai.

The one-week research camp that has served as a platform to communicate with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, deepened our cooperation with Malaysia universities, a move that actualized our globalization strategy. We will strive to comprehensively communicate and cooperate with the Malaysia counterpart and forge Yantai Research Camp for Malaysian partners into one of our brand images.
