On October 18, the Yantai Institute organized a research-based learning tour for postgraduate students to the Yantai Development Zone Urban Planning Exhibition Center. Designed as an immersive field study, the initiative aimed to provide comprehensive insights into Yantai's historical evolution, industrial layout, future planning, and cultural distinctiveness, while fostering students' sense of responsibility and mission in contributing to regional development.
Through rich visual archives, three-dimensional models, dynamic影像 displays, and interactive installations, students gained an intuitive understanding of the zone's remarkable metamorphosis—from coastal marshland to a modern industrial hub, and from traditional manufacturing to emerging sectors like high-end equipment manufacturing and the digital economy.
More than a "history lesson" in urban development, this research tour served as a forward-looking "practical seminar" for the future. The Yantai Institute will continue to advance university-local collaboration through diverse initiatives, guiding postgraduates to anchor their work in local contexts while serving national goals, thereby contributing wisdom and strength to regional high-quality development.
