Brief Introduction of Laboratories for Domain of Energy and Power

I. Laboratory of Digital Simulation for Power System

Underpinned by large-scale cruise innovation projects from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Laboratory of Digital Simulation for Power System is applicable in digital simulation, virtual operation training and remote operation and maintenance of ship power system.

II.Laboratory of Industry-Education Integrationfor Clean Ship Power System

The LNG power system consists of dual-fuel engine, controlling, monitoring and security system, transmission and propulsion system, LNG storage and supply system, etc., providing efficient and clean power and energy for ships. The dual-fuel power system adopts high-efficiency clean combustion technology, integrated control technology, high-performance actuator and matching technology optimized for ship, machine, propeller as a whole, achieving a fuel substitution rate of up to 95% and a thermal efficiency of more than 44%. It can meet the TIERIII emission limit of the International Maritime Organization and the requirements of China's ship phase II emission regulations by cutting emission in NOx, particulate and sulfide by 80% and more than 90% respectively.

III.Laboratory of Intelligent Technology for Ship Power System

The intelligent technology of ship power system can be applied to inland river and river-sea combined transport ships, fishing vessels, offshore platforms and so on. Through a variety of supplementary power sources, it can achieve improvement and enhancement for overall system performance.
