To better consolidate fire-safety management and elevate awareness and skills against fire accidents among faculty and students, Yantai Research Institute has rolled out diverse fire-safety educational activities in November.

By demonstrating fire-safety know-hows and typical cases of campus fire accidents by means of social media, display booths and banners, we have created a favourable atmosphere where everyone pays attention to fire safety at anytime anywhere.

We have organized fire-fighting display in local fire brigade and publicity services in campus, and even invited fire brigade personnel to our aid in guidance and publicity on fire-control, calling on everyone in campus to stay vigilant to fire safety.

Beyond that, we have hosted distinctive and close-to-life fire-safety lectures and training programs, illustrating the danger of fire, fire prevention and evacuation precautions, thus improving the fire safety awareness among everyone attended.

Thanks to local fire brigade, we conducted emergency evacuation drills and training on fire-fighting equipment in campus to further bolstering skills in escaping and fire extinguishing among us all.

A safety inspection team was duly set up to investigate hidden hazards in laboratories, offices, dormitories, canteens and other places, while keeping focus on safety of electricity usage, placement of combustible materials, blockage of evacuation routes, as well as status of fire-fighting equipment， as our additional endeavor to spot and eliminate fire hazards in a timely manner.

These activities has boosted their awareness and consciousness in fire prevention and safety, paving the way for the launch of overall fire-safety management in campus.  Yantai Research Institute will further related publicity, training, inspection and rectification, forging a safe and peaceful campus with this line of defense.
